Hi. Is there a class action lawsuit against StoresOnline, Inc.? I would like to get my money back. Please let me know.
My family fell prey to their deceptive tactics many years ago - sometime in '04 or '05 - it's a blur, to be honest; what I know is that we lost about $12,000 on their promises and finally, after several attempts, closed all our accounts. It took several calls and a lot of runaround to stop their monthly charges for web hosting we weren't using, but finally we appeared to be rid these sick scam artists.
Fast forward SIX YEARS; I open my email to see that yesterday a paypal payment of about $40 was made to StoresOnline for domain hosting and renewal.
Needless to say I contested the charge in paypal, cancelled the "billing agreement" that I do not recall EVER authorizing, and will be further investigating the matter.
Feels like Storesonline will be haunting me until my dying day. These people are as shady as they come. RUN from their seminars and never give them ANY information, as it is apparent they hang onto it indefinitely. If you are with them and cancel, demand proof of cancellation IN WRITING. Then stick it in a safe deposit box and keep it FOREVER.
Why do we NOT ban together and put an end to these scam artists! Let's find out where that are running these scams and call the Venue, the BBB, the police and the local TV News people. And gather some protesters at the locations.
Storesonline.com seems to be scam and a fraud, with many complaints many lawsuits are out there. With storesonline lawsuits growing and with more complaints about storesonline fraud there is a need for a grassroots effort to shut these guys down.
Not only is this company a scam, it is disgraceful the way they lure mostly low income and disabled people to their seminars in the disguise of selling them "the American Dream." - Emily from Milwaukee
StoresOnline "Untrusted Solutions" for Entrepreneurs
If you have heard of Stores Online and are thinking of signing up with them I can offer a little insight before you make your decision. You've probably been to the free dinner and are waiting to go to the training seminar. They are very persuasive at the free dinner and I thought I would at least give them a chance at the seminar. The seminar was very high pressure. - Stores Online
I had been to one of the events they held once, An older women that we know told me she got an invite in the mail and wanted to see what it was all about, so I went along with her. I tried to warn as many people as I could in the crowd. These people are real pro. rip off artists who target people who know nothing about making money online. I just wonder what kind of a system they use to find and bring the people in? I mean how do they find there target market?
I went to a presentation today and got a free breakfeast. Thats about all that this is worth. Talk about B.S. these people are full of it. These people are REAL crooks that should be sent to jail every last one of them...
This company invites people to an all day seminar with lunch included, and after making a quick high pressure presentation, coerces people int purchasing software to develop websites. They don't help you find products to sell and tell you it is very easy to connect with drop-shippers....
There are hundreds of bad reports StoresOnline just do a Google search. Some of the reports are regarding Attorney General's offices from the state of Illinois, Utah, a class action suit in Canada and another class action lawsuit in California and many others.
In the Internet marketing forums, such as the Warrior Forum, there is much negative (scam) talk about StoresOnline.
Complaints filed with BBB allege that high pressure sales tactics were used during seminars to entice consumers to purchase programs. After purchase, some consumers found promised services were not fulfilled and thought-to-be included items were only available for an additional fee or through another company.
According to the BBB Reliability Report, StoresOnline markets e-services to those intending to do business on the Internet. Following a free 90-minute conference, attendees are often urged to sign up for a one-day workshop, which requires a fee. At the end of workshops, attendees receive a special offer to buy the services and products.
In January 2009, StoresOnline informed BBB that they were going to change the way products are sold, including discontinuing seminars. However, seminars appear to remain the primary way the company is selling its products.
BBB advice: If attending a StoresOnline conference, be wary of high pressure sales and carefully read all contracts and materials received prior to purchasing or signing contracts. Products and services sold by StoresOnline are set up to help existing business owners build a web presence and are not intended for starting a new business. Consumers purchasing at the workshop should get any promises and the business three-day right to cancel agreement in writing.
